Hi All,

I was cleaning out my shop this weekend, the weather here is turnning nice.

I pilled my wood working tools on my workbench and my pen supplies on a utility bench on the other side of the shop.

When I looked at the two piles it became very obvious to me, my pen turning purchases make my woodworking hand tool selection less expensive than I thought they were when I first started woodworking... even the S&S infills!

Man I have to stop ordering on line after dinner time.

:-)

Shhhh Jim. Don't tell my wife about this. Right now I still have a little leeway in purchasing so don't blow it for me by relating your story.

Take care and have a good one.

Whenever my wife start talking about how much I spend on woodworking and penturning, I send her to one of those "hen parties" where all her friends talk about is their husbands playing golf.

Between the "never at home when I need him!" and "Do you know how much green fees costs?!?!" comments, she usually comes back with a big smile. Compared to some hobbies, she thinks mine is less expensive.

Of course, tossing her a pretty new pen ever now and then helps a little.

LOML got wise and now my pen turning stuff is put away and no purchases are allowed until I refinish/paint the kitchen cabinets, new counter tops and flooring. I figure next I should be ready. to start on the cabinets. No will start the first of May need to get the paint and new hinges (Euro style) and get the shop cleaned up so I can get the door ready to paint. I plan on using my HVLP sprayer on the door and on larger areas of the carcases. Hope to have it all done by the end of July. Then the Th can be my Independence Day

That reminds me of something I read somewhere: "I'm always so afraid that I will die suddenly and my wife will sell my woodworking tools for what I told her I paid for them." LOL

yep, Wifey got me building a storage closet for the mud room this past weekend. Had to go buy Plywood and clean the shop up enough to cut it up, I'm 3/4s done with it. Still got to finalize a plan on my BT3central 2x6 project and get that done. And then.........
