Does anyone offer the Vertex in any other finishes than chrome, satin or gun metal??
Hello John I've been looking around for other finishes in the Vertex as well. Haven't found anything yet!
Say Mack, I am wondering if it could be replicated in silver. There is a silver guy here somewhere. The cost will probably be prohibitive. There is also a member who speaks Mandarin and travels over to Hong Kong to purchase parts. WE need to get a hold of that guy and put a order in. I would like to see: gold, sterling silver and copper.

I'd be quite happy to see it in Blk. Ti. & Ti. Gold!

I usually try not to say anything, if I have nothing good to say, but...I am passing a long a personal warning. I would not recommend you purchase that kit in any finish!!! The click mechinism was a disaster each time I made it. It didnt even last long enough for the terrible finish to show signs of wear. After making four and four bad ones, I called it quits. Just MHO.

Glenn, is this the same one that others touted as being the smoothest click pen on the market??

I've only used Vertex in gun metal and chrome, but my experience is that the finishes are very good and the pen is attractive, dependable and good selling. I've made the click, 2 mm collet pencil, rollerball and fountain pen, I like them all. I don't know if it is offered in any other finishes.

Don't know of any other finishes John. I've only made 2 in chrome. One worked great the other didn't work at all. If you do get one that doesn't work the normal method of taking these apart will not work. You need something like a brass tube possibly that will slide over the plastic click mechanism to contact the metal. If you don't have something like this you will destroy the plastic click mechanism DAMHIKT.
The one that did work I gave to my brother in law. With a 50% success rate on the first 2 I did I wasn't going to chance trying to sell it.

I to am having trouble with their click mechinism, just sold one , the lady brought it back in two days the clicker was broke off.

I bought 5 of these since they look like a mechanics pen but I dropped one on a linoleum floor and it landed horizontal on the floor and since the click tip is so heavy it broke the plastic mechanism it screwed on to. Guess I will have to use them my self or return them. Not a very nice feel holding that hex shape anyways. Looks awfully good though with that chrome and black palm.

Yes it is, it felt very substantial when I first tried it, but soon after I lost all confidence.

Well Glenn, I am not going to buy any Vertex because of what you said and it was backed up from others. Thanks for saving me the anguish. I loved the look of the pen. Five were on the list to be purchased. In your opinion , what is the smoothest working click pen??

Best click pens I find are the 50 cent throw aways from vendors. I haven't found a good dependable click pen from our available components yet and have tried most of them.

I have made several Long clicks from Lau lau's and they have worked well. Not too bad for the price with urgraded plating...

I've had 1 repair due to the fact that my Dad washed it and the ink leaked in the wash.
