Utah Woodturning Symposium - Penturner’s Rendezvous

On the Utah Woodturning Symposium website re Penturner's Rendezvous (scheduled for May 18th) people are directed to the Pen Makers Guild website for more information and to register in advance. After visiting thier website www.penmakersguild.com I didn't find any information at all about the 2011 event.

Does anyone from the Guild (or anyone else) know anything about this year's event? I'm making plans to attend to the symposium and I thought I would also take in the Penturner's Rendezvous.

Continue to monitor the guild website. Information will be posted. The person in charge is heavily involved in a couple of symposiums coming up in March. I'm confident info will be posted soon after these two events.

I think I sent a pen out for that..but maybe it was for something else.

The Penturners Rendevous is held the Wednesday of the symposium (May 18th this year). In the morning, Craft Supply holds their clearance sale at their store which is a zoo! Tons of great deals but even more people, usually starts at 8:00 a.m.. If you need nice wood pen boxes for a steal ($2 +/-), this is the time to load up. That same night, the Rendevous is held over at the college (same place as the symposium) and starts around 6:00. Lots of demos and raffles. If you are a little sneaky, you can go watch the symposium people setting up their items......amazing stuff!
