Hey Jeff,

I just got one of those damned scam blog things that Roy suffered from recently. This one had your name on it.

What I can't understand is that if this is a legit site or not??

My machine is a corporate laptop that is maintained by IBM and we have the very latest security so I don't know how they're slipping through.

Heck, if we even get an email with a link in it, then it goes to a quarantine server where we can log in to view it, before accepting it as real.

Anyone know how to stop them??

Almost impossible because Jeff is probably in your good guys list on a spam filter. And like you probably know they just used his email I have gotten several from the same friend and they all have a different link. I just delete them and go on.

There will always someoneout in cyberspace trying to hack in to some database, somewhere.

Imagine if you will; if they put that thought or thinking into turning pens to make an honest living!

Skippy, me thinks that it was the same spammer that hit me and in turn hit all who were in my contacts list. Jeff PM'ed me about it last night. What's confusing is I have well over 100 on my contacts list and so far I've only heard from a hand full. For those that missed it I posted this spam a few days ago, It started with me and is slowly makeing the rounds. http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=76116

LOL, I was thinking more along the lines of saving the laptop and destroying Jeff and Roy!!!!

I don't think it's harmful.....just anoying......I mean, who would want to see pics of pens for goodness sakes!!!

That's pretty wild. I have no real clue what's going on. I got an email from Roy 2 days ago to check out some of his pics on some new server or something. I couldn't do it at the time..I hit the link on my blackberry this morning on the way to Detroit, and entered my email and password. Now I'm typing this, I realize I better go to my email and change my password! I don't know if everyone on my contact list got hit with that or just the contacts on my berry. I don't have many email contacts on my berry, but Steve is one of the few on there...who knows. I thought it was legit, I followed the instructions for a few minutes, but got to a screen where I could not continue, and I was working, so I just gave up and closed it out. I guess I got scammed.
