Hello everyone!

I am from north of the border in Hamilton Ontario. I've been into woodworking for some time now and just picked up a small lathe. So I am a new pen turner with only 3 pens under my belt but I have caught the turning bug, it's a lot of fun!

I hope I can contribute something to the forum or at least get lots of good ideas!

Welcom, from "south of the border" in Colorado. You should be ordering lots of kits by now. I have made 20 pens, and have 58 kits in the workbench drawer ... :redface:

I've already have about 20 pen kits plus some razor kits plus a lot of blanks. I am going to make 10 pens for Jim (pens for peace keepers). I just need time in the garage now!

Hi Mack, this lathe is really addicting, I am trying to not let it detract me from my other woodworking but that's hard. I am already looking for a better lathe, but that's not really in the budget right now.

As for #10000, I saw that there were 9999 members when I was signing up. Then when I had signed up it showed 10000 and me as the newest member. Not sure if it could be proven, but I don't really care if it were, I saw it :biggrin:.

Welcome from all the way down here in Texas. I have an uncle with a roofing company near Milton. By the way its 22 degrees down here....that's centigrade!
 
Welcome Andrew from another Ontario penturner. Lots of good information, tutorials and knowledgeable people here to help. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
