Hi guys,

I am having trouble uploading some pictures.I want to post them on the page large like others do in the middle of the page, not like at the bottom of the page where its an attachment, and you click on it and the picturesgets bigger.I want to be able to post a picture, put a caption above or under it,post another pic,do the same, and on down the line. Can someone help me post these like that.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Justin

You need an offline photo storge place such as photbucket. Then you need to resize the photo to around 400X600 Don't get larger than that. If you need a resizing source, Curtis listed one in the photo contest here in the Bash party forum. Right click image lefty click copy and come here and left click and paste. I think I got the left and right backwards. But if you are on a computer you know what I mean.

Thanks John! That was exactly what i was looking to do.I just started a new thread with this valuable information.

Works great!!

You don't need another photo service to store your photos to post a large photo here . All you have to do is create a photo album here then post your photos from your album . The problem with services like fotobucket is that they have been known to delete albums that don't get allot of activity which leaves your posts without photos and if you don't keep a back up of them you will loose your work . Also some ISP's will block them from their customers due to virus problems .
Creating a photo album here is a very simple process and is permanent and allows other members to view your photos anytime . Jeff (The Boss) did a wonderful tutorial for creating a photo album here http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35783 .

I'm assuming the thread where you are selling the blanks has the photos you are mentioning. If so, might I suggest now that you have the hang of it, try resizing the photos.

At the 1023 x 680 size, those photos are huge and will require the vast majority of members to scroll left and right just to see them. That might be a turn off to some potential customers.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks Tex.That was my first try,so i wasn't sure how big they would show up.I was really just trying to show the beauty of the wood.

I also saw that Idb gave a great way to put them on in the library.I remember seeing Curtis's thread a while back about how to do that, but didnt realize that i could then just link them in the thread.

Thanks

You don't even need to use an IAP photo album. All you need to so it click on the manage attachment button and upload your pictures. Then, once they are uploaded, click on the name of the pic and it will bring up the pic in a new browser window. Then simply copy the URL and go back to your thread. When there, click on the image button in the tools section when composing a message (yellow button that looks like it has a mountain in it), then paste the url in the pop up box and hit OK. It will then be put in the thread without having to do anything else.

There you go. Alot of ways to get there. Just remember if you want to show the photos on other sites you need to come back here as where if you have a photo storage you can sort the photos quite easily. Good luck and look forward to seeing some soon.
