I am interested in creating information on the back of a business card for each of the pens that I have for sale. This card would be given to the buyer with all my contact info and pen info right in one easy to find location.

I am thinking of including material, refill style, refill change instructions, care instructions...

What else?

Does anyone have a template of what they use that they would like to share?

Ed from Exotic Blanks is working on something of that order. The first one he posted on their site was for the care and feeding of FPs. He is working on others as time allows.

I was waiting patiently for the first release that I thought was going to cover what I was looking for.

I didn't notice that he was still working on more and I was unsure where it stood so I thought I would work on my own for now.....

I include with each pen a business card with my name, contact information, the type of wood the pen is made from and the type of refill it requires.

This is the info that I include.

You can download from Avery for free. I use the business card template to do exactly what you describe. My business card is on one side and all the pen info on the other side. You can buy sheets of business card paper from any office supply store.

I also have cards for wood descriptions and pen care.

Jim, I have the template, I am looking for the best info to include from the start. I don't want to make them and then have to remake them.... I hate redoing work!!

In that case - I include the same info as papaturner but I add instructions on how to replace the refill.

I was thinking of including the instructions also. I have only had one person contact me with that question. Being a pen turner, I thought it was common knowledge......

3 cards per envelope

I provide 3 cards in an envelope with each pen. My business card, so they can give it to another potential customer (they wont do so if their pens ID is on it). A care / thank you card and a certificate card. I feel the certificate should be separate for a momento of the pens individuality. I make a separate certificate for each pen as each one is unique, though I use the same template for all pens.

I have this on the back of my cards:
"With any Natural Products, there can be unseen defects. I guarantee my products against workmanship flaws and said defects. Not against misuse, abuse or normal wear and tear. Thank you for your patronage."

Here's mine, maybe it will give you some ideas.........
