I have to put out a special thank you for Jerry. And its another reason why I love being part of IAP and proud to know some people here.
I have a 2nd cousin (my cousins daughter). At less than 20 years old she has an amazing head on her shoulders. She is a part of YWAM (Youth with a mission). She does missionary work, and has been to multiple countries (and also here in the US) working with poor, especially children - and has to raise the money herself for these trips as well as her expenses. She is going into missionary work full time and thus doesn't get paid.
I posted on facebook that I was donating a couple of pens to a silent auction she was sponsoring. Jerry saw this and posted that he'd like to send some too. He ended up sending 6 fabulous pens - no questions asked, no strings attached. All this for someone he never met.
I know that we have a lot of good members here and they are very giving, but to me this was a very touching act. I did end up talking up his pens more than mine... I made it very clear to those around that the turner donated them in the truest sense of the word.
Yes, those of us on here know that there is a chance that he could get a sale from it (because we included his card), but if he wanted to donate for the chance of future sales, he'd be better to do it nearer to his home.
Oh, and Jerry - if you read this.... My wife refused to let the purple one go - she kept outbidding people for it. So the purple one ended back at my house.
Sorry for my rambling, but I wanted to share - I'm constantly impressed by the things that members of this site do for other people.
