Our house was built in 1982 we have changed some of the plumbing fixtures over the years. We have not changed the faucet in the kitchen even though it leak a little and the valves are hard to open and close and the spout is very loose. Last night LOML complained that she go squirted in the face when she moved the spout from one sink to the other.

Got up this morning made coffee and was looking at the faucet. Decided to head for the BORG and get a new one. 90 minuets later new faucet installed and working no leaks. All I could think of is LOML cooking dinner on Thursday and the thing falling apart and water going all over the kitchen. Thanksgiving is not the day for that to happen. LOML is happy, so I made points and prevented a sure disaster. Plumbing disasters will always happen on a major Holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas when the stores are closed and plumber are very expensive.

now just hope you don't spring a leak somewhere else on turkey day, last Easter my well pump quit working, had 30 odd folks for dinner, had to use bottled h20 for everthing. as you said only on a holiday..................

90 minute install. I wish I could get honey-do's like this done this fast. Mine are always far more involved and a bloody knuckle is my added bonus.

All my honeydos require a blood donation and not at the blood bank. One question, just how do you manage to get any honey do finished in 90 minutes? Mine, 5+ hours minimum, sometimes days. UGH! ;(

I need to create  a couple of "90 minute honey-do's" around here. I do some cabinet making and a few months ago I mentioned in passing that I should build us an entertainment center with bookcases. Apparently I made a promise to build the cabinets that I was unaware of so now my only way to get points (or at least get back to 0) is a two week project!

I need to create  a couple of "90 minute honey-do's" around here. I do some cabinet making and a few months ago I mentioned in passing that I should build us an entertainment center with bookcases. I learned after 48 years of marriage to my first wife...NEVER EVER mention a possibility of something you will do or make in the future. It will become a promise to have done it two weeks ago. If your bride mentions something even in passing that you "can make" NEVER EVER even acknowledge that you heard her, don't nod, don't say "I don't know how to do that" don't say "That's not a good idea"...say nothing...nothing. Else that will also become a promise made and a debt unpaid.

It was a simple project. Turn off water, remove feed lines from faucet, unbolt(?) faucet and remove from sink. Clean area under old faucet, Prepare new faucet (put plumbers putty on gasket) place new faucet on sink, go under sink and hook everything up. Turn water on, no leaks put tools away. Got Pepsi and my Togo's sandwich turned on Nationwide Race and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon. The Gods of Honey Do's were smiling on me, usually takes hours with all kinds of problems. Every once in a while you gotta get lucky this was my time, next time it will be an all day project.
