We have never met Roy but I am glad it went well. I went through the same in April due to an aortic valve problem and they wanted to check out the arteries. What a relief when they did not find any Blockage. I know exactly how you must feel.

I am happy for you.
 
Thanks everyone, it was a relief to find no blockage. Now the only problem is why I'm short of breath at times...... could it be the extra 40 pounds I'm now carrying around between my belt and chest?:redface:
 
Do you know how much those stents cost???
One mighty expensive pen. 3 years ago they were about $2300.00.

'Member those Chinese handcuffs we had as kids? Woven bamboo that tightened when you tried to pull your fingers out.

Same general design and principal. Only made out of expensive medical wire.
They put it in elongated and thin and pull it tight to expand it against the artery wall.
 
Glad to hear you're doing OK. Don't admit to the extra weight, blame it on running so hard the last few weeks. Take a break and rest for a bit.
 
The extra weight will take its toll over time. I know it is hard work but losing it could be the best gift that you give yourself and your family. I have lost 58 lbs over the last year and while it hasn't been easy, it hasn't been horribly difficult. Mainly cutting out white flour, sugar and decreasing the amount of red meat that I consume.
 
Yes Roy this is wonderful news. Now what about shows until spring? In some ways I hope that you take the time off and enjoy life, but I also know you may miss it and drive you looney. No matter what path you take, congrats, enjoy life and stay healthy.

I had two of them put in in June and Trust me --- you don't even want to know how much they cost installed...

Shortness of Breath

Well Roy, I'm happy for you that it isn't your heart.

If it isn't your heart....that leaves only a dozen or so other things to check...COPD is probably the worst case....the extra 40 pounds is the best. You can lose 40 pounds, it ain't easy but you can do that. COPD on the other hand never gets better, just keeps getting worse.
