How do you guys do it?

Does anyone here video how you turn these fancy pens?
I'd love to see some videos on how to turn something other than Slimline pens.

To which fancy pen are you referring to? All the larger pens turn the same (I think easier) than the slim. You just need the proper bushings. Go buy some and give it a try!!

I agree!!! If you can turn a slim you can turn any of the others.:wink:

Slims are slow to turn, you usually have a lot of material to remove and if you don't simply make them bushing to bushing you need to measure over and over to make sure the parts match. The larger pens are quicker and easier.

With the exception of some of the kits that require a tenon, I would agree with the others that sometimes the "fancy" kits are often easier. Even the ones that do require a tenon shouldn't scare you off ... not that big of a deal really!

My first pen was a Sedona... they're basically all the same, except those requiring a tenon.

I had forgotten where I learned this technique (so many moons ago). Thanks Skye, I've used your technique many times. It makes slim lines so much more interesting.
