All right here it is. Looking at getting back into turning after some time off. Had to sell all my stuff due to work transfer and some illness issues. So I have nothing, but first and foremost will need a lathe to turn anything. Probably looking at some pens and whatever else I can turn. Looking at possibly going back to a Jet, but since I haven't paid much attention to turning I don't know what is all out there.

Was thinking maybe a 1220vs or even getting another 1014vs. Going to starting from scratch again and may not remember everything so I am sure I will have some questions along the way.

Damn it Dustin wish you would have said something a few weeks ago, I had 3 jets one of them a Non VS I would have let you use, but I sold it to Youth minister Dan (who will put it to good use.)

Oh that's okay. Not ready to start just yet. Still trying to get whatever this disgestive disorder I have diagnosed. If I have to spend one more week in the hospital I'm going to go crazy, that and having a tore rotator cuff. Suppose to be sent to some specialist at OU med center in OKC soon. Hopefully in another week. Figure might as well start preparing now since the computer is all I can do.

I've been sidelined by work for the last 6 months so I understand. I dont have a lathe for you to use, but I do have plenty of non-exotic type blanks that we can figure something out on... I have more than I can use in two lifetimes. Feel free to PM me here if your interested.

Dustin,

Just a heads up. Sometime between now and the end of the year Jet and Powermatic are going to have their full line up of lathes on sale. Also in November Teknatool is going to have their lathes on sale. The Nova 1624-44 is going to be $899.99, the DVR is going to be at; $1699.99. I bought the 1624-44 from my local WC and they did a pre-sale so I got the sale price. Just some food for thought!!
