Guess the Woods Round 2!!!

#1- Just a rounded spindle. Yes, I know this is rough turned. I didn't bother to sand it all the way, so there still is tooling marks!!! :biggrin:

#2- The last two pics. Silver slimline, ca finish.

The lower portion has the coloring and grain of Chittam wood but upper part looks like some type of rosewood burl so I'm puzzled

Just to be clear, there are TWO TYPES OF WOOD.

The first picture is #1.
The second and third is wood #2.

You must get both correct, close only counts in horseshoes! :biggrin:

Another clue: One of them is NOT what you would expect!!!

Ok , I sticking to the chittam Burl for the second one but my only other thoughts looking at the lower portion of the first pic would be mesquite burl...but the color has me thrown!
Ok after much thought the first one could be some figured narra!

I did not see that it was two separate things. I think that the second could very easily be Grapevine I have had some of that coloring/grain in the grapevine I have turned

I'm gonna say #1 is HRB and #2 is some form of oak burl, maybe spalted or buggy.
