The left Tail light/turn signal went out on her Expedition over the weekend. I replaced it in 5 minuets, and then the Devil got me.
I went into the house and told her I fixed it but then told her she would have to change her driving habits to even out the wear on the left and right turn signal. Told her she should use the CHP ( I am a retired employee) method of evening the wear on vehicles buy using more right turns in her travels and planning her route more carefully. Told her to contact our brother in law Ben, a retired CHP Sgt. and he would explain it to her. She called him and he went along with it. A short time later her sister called and told her she had been had. I have never seen her so mad.
Needless to say we had to take her and her sister out to a nice dinner last night and used the the CHP system of right turns to get there, took twice a long, that didn't go over to well either. I am still getting dagger eye shots this morning. I know UPS uses some kind of right turn system to save gas but it was more fun this way. Think I will go make her a pen now.

You would think after almost 45 years she would be used to it.

LOL! Thanks for sharing. Boy if I ever let a practical joke "outside" to include others, I'm afraid to even think of the "stuff" that would be flowing down hill all over me.

That's almost as bad as when my uncle made his wife study for her Fishing License. He made her study all the different types fish in preparation for the license test.

When she applied for the licesne the Fish and Game officer gave her the license, then she asked "What about the test?". He said there was no test and when she told him about her studying he started cracking up.

LOL, I had a wife convinced she had to run with the headlights on as not to build up too much juice in the battery

Did you ever think that you da sucka and have been had? She went about her usual schedule, called the wife of the friend, who "filled her in" on the "snipe hunt" and they decided to get a couple of free dinners and a night out of the kitchen.

You've been played:).

Update

LOML got revenge. Didn't get my Lathe for my Birthday. Ended up building LOML and new computer at a cost of $308. It took a big dump Friday morning so it was fix the computer or die. The mother board died and on its way out corrupted the HD so I couldn't get the HD to boot even putting it in another computer. So as the old computer was 5 or 6 years old built a new one with just a DVD?CD burner/player 250GB HD, 3 GB memory. The HD and DVD are of the new SATA type so smaller cables and less clutter. Assembled the thing installed WIN 7 and then after it was all configured with the printer and Networking and was running well I added the old HD with XP on it. The computer found it and ran Check Disk on it and deleted the corrupted files and I was able to transfer LOML's Internet Favorites, her Picture files and some other misc. stuff. and then pulled the old HD out and buttoned it up. She is a happy camper and I don't have my new lathe. Karma will get you in the end is moral of this story. I did get some Woodcraft gift cards for my birthday so I will probably get the Lathe before it goes off sale.

Man that sucks! But at least she has a new computer out of it. Guess you won't do that again, lol.
