Here is my take on austing458 Golf ball pen.
The wood is Acacia. I am making a set of these to be 2nd prize at a benefit golf tournament

I was just wondering.. do you hollow the golf balls out? Or are they very top heavy?
I have seen ornaments made of golf balls that were hollowed. just curious.

I have not hollowed them out. I don't think they are top heavy, but YMMV. I do however countersink the top of the tee so that the ball sits down a little and there is not a visible gap.

Great Idea... and for the record, I was just being my smatassed self with the box question, but I really like the "turf" idea.
