Hey all of you on the other side of the Atlantic.

Today we had a royal wedding here in Sweden and Stocholm Our capital is full of people who wanted to have a look at the new bride and groom. To follow one like this wedding on TV is like a fairy tale. Many other kings and queens are invited to a feast at the castle.

All of Sweden think it was about time to get married. Daniel and Princess Victoria has been a couple for approximately seven years. Her husband is now Prince Daniel he was a regular guy and has no royal family, this means that there is so much interest around the world, well maybe not in the U.S..
I think Daniel is similar to the animated Superman, Clark Kent when he wears glasses. :biggrin:
 
I don't really like cities, but I love Stockholm. I has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, especially the old part. I've been there a few times and have promised my wife that we will visit together one day.
It must have been very festive with all the parties going on.

Yes, Stockholm is known as the Venice of Scandinavia and is very beautiful, especially in the summer. Old Town is known as the the part of Stockholm that all tourists love.

Aropund the turn of the century my GGF was the personal phsyician to the king of Sweden. My grandfather was the 1st "under contract" Tarzan of the Apes for the silent movies. That was 1916.
Congrats to your Royals...will be watching..

I have only been to Stockholm, Vasteras and Ludvika and each time was in the winter, but I still loved each visit. It was the first time I ate horse:biggrin:

Steven shame on you, you are not supposed to eat the horse you ride them. :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: the the other thing you better hurry up make some more pens and sell them so, you can take your wife to Stockholm, instead of just promising.:tongue:

One of these days I'll make my way back to Europe again.
 
Most Swedes love the royal family but not quite all. Some think it costs too much money and that it is an outdated practice.
The Royal Family has no political power but serves as a good advertisement for the small country of Sweden.
Me and my wife have been in Stockholm many times even though it is 435 miles away, but we never get there in the winter.

Well, "skiprat" I can tell you that horse meat is very rare today, but I know there is, on top of sandwiches. I think the horse is best alive, so I would never eat it.:eek:

"DotDoc" We've had some crazy kings in our history and that one of your relatives would have been a psychiatrist for one of them I bet on.:biggrin:
