Australian Red Morrell Burl: This was my first turn at Red Morrell. Tried several different finishes to get a nice gloss. Final was done using French Polish, buffed with Tripoli and finished with Carnuba.
Have a peek and tell me what you think. Hope photo shows gloss ok.

red morrell is fine stuff, it must be dry or it will open up, had that happen more than once. Same with red mallee burl.

Nice job, pens look great.

Both look fine. Personally, I wouldn't 'waste' such a fine wood on a Slimline.

Pens look good but I have to agree with Frank. For me, those blanks deserve higher end kits too.

Red Morrel for me is one of the best...especially the 2 tone stuff. [^]

tell me, have you done business with river's edge exotics much? i'm a bit leary about ebay stores. so i would like to know how they do business. if it's all good or what. thanks for any info you can send this way

I've never been burned by anyone at ebay. I do only buy from someone with a 98% approval rate or better, though.
