Hello folks, just thought I would share a couple of pen related items I have made.

I'm interested in calligraphy, I've never written a neat piece of prose in my life but I keep trying.

This is my writing slope, made from mahogany with ebony inlay to help position paper. The brass scale is to assist in setting the lines apart according to their x height.

The contraption at the base is something I made to draw lines in parallel. It basically rolls on a fixed axle and has a 'clicker' that you count the gaps, say, three clicks three millimetres.

I must have too much time on my hands.. Regards, Tony.

That's a very interesting project. Actually pretty cool. I'm not sure what you enjoy more, woodworking or calligraphy.
