My daughter loves to cook. Made this as one of her stocking stuffers.

Found the wisk head, made the handle from Tulipwood. Six coats of poly.

The cove is both decorative and functional. My daughter has a problem with the thumb on her right hand. The cove will allow her to hold the wisk with her fingers.

Comments welcome.

Thank you.

The head is from a Hamilton Beach electric mixer set. I found it an an HB outlet store. Ground the key "ears" off the shaft. The hole in the blanks is 9/32" x 2+". A pen mill with an 8mm shaft squared the end. It also happened to be the exact diameter I needed to meet the head.

I made a spur drive from a piece of 1/4" rod. A couple rounds of masking tape created a snug, centered fit. Then used my collet chuck to turn like a closed end mandrel.

After seeing how well the idea worked, I wish I had bought more of the heads.

Nice looking whisk. I make whisks and use coil handled whisks that I set up the same way that you did yours. They make nice gifts and sell well at shows. I sold almost 40 this weekend and last weekend. Ergonomic handles make them comfortable to use.
