I've been trying some other things recently and I've really enjoyed learning how to do these little winged bowls.
I haven't done any sort of finishing to them since it was just two pieces of ash glued together, but they are quite fun to do. I have some better wood that I am working on making a lidded box based on these. Found a great tutorial on Youtube and it couldn't have been easier.
I also made my first peppermill tonite. I'm mostly happy with it, and just have a bit of finishing left to do.
It's made out of curly maple and MM'd to 12000, waxed and then CA/BLO finished. Hopefully it holds up, but I'm making the pair (P/S) for my cousin's housewarming gift.
