Winged NE bowl

This is a 'winged' natural edge bowl I made from a cut-off from some recently acquired maple.

First time trying anything like this (I am using a RIKON mini lathe too). The wings are 11" at the widest, the bowl area is about 3" diameter x 1.5" deep.

It was an 'attention-getter' as the little Rikon was jumpin all over the place . :biggrin:

Gotta give you a bravery award for doing that on the RIKON! I bet that thing was walking across the floor! Great job on a nice piece of wood.
