Big Leaf Maple Hollow Form with Finial

Have a monthly contest at our local Woodturning Club here in Boise, last month's challenge was anything with a finial. My entry was this Big Leaf Maple Hollow form with a Blackwood finial. About 7" high and 3 1/2" maximum diameter. Finished with a bees-wax based finish made by one of our members on the hollow form, and friction polish on the finial.---Rich

Very nice. I just picked up some big leaf maple burl bowl blanks so now I have an idea as to how nice they'll look. Thanks for posting.
