When do you change bushings?

When we turn our blanks down to the very edge of the bushing (for that nice "fit & finish"), you can see that you get a little bit of metal each time. Doing that over a period of time, the bushing is no longer going to be the correct size.

So when do you decide to change (get a new set) of bushings? About how many pens do you get from a set before you feel like they are no longer the correct size?

I don't worry about bushing size at all. I use a caliper to bring all my pens to final size. I do usually buy two sets of every bushing. Some vendors (BTW, for one) give big discounts on buying two sets.

I then use set one until I "see" a wobble. Then I chunk set one, install set two and order more.
