Here is a grunt call that I made without the flexible plastic tube. The call is made from cocobolo with stabilized box elder burl accent bands. I tried my hand at some stippling on the upper barrel of the call. It is by no means perfect, but I was pleased with the outcome. This one is going on my brothers lanyard.

That looks great Jeremy! Ive been wanting to make some for my dad and some hunting buddies. Do you get the same sound without the flex tube? I really like the look and size you got there. Nice work!

This one is a little higher pitched than one with the flex tube fully extended, but that is how my brother likes it. You can get a deeper sound with a longer lower barrel or even with a wood that is not so dense.

Hi, very nice. I made a few tubless, and the guys seem to like them. I like them because there is lot more design elements for the stopper instead of just turning a tenon to fit plastic tube. Nice work.
