Trivet Jib (need ideas)

Does anyone make trivets either out of wood or corian? I've read some turner club newsletters and the ideas they present fascinate me.

Has anyone done this, have plans for a jig? I was thinking of using the flat jaws on my chuck but maybe someone has a better idea?

I made a few out of corian samples. I used a MDF faceplate with double stick tape and a live center. CSUSA sells the cork inserts still I think.
