In an attempt to increase my skill level I tried something different (to me at least).
Pen Kit are Vertex-Penn State
Metal is .025 aluminum-Lowes

This was challenging yet still fun. I did learn a couple of do's and don'ts along the way. Now all of these things I hade already been told or have read previously, BUT I guess I needed an real life experience....lol

1) Do let the C/A cure before drilling lest you glue it up again.
2) Don't cut the blank all the way thru as it is tricky to get it clamped and glued back together.
3) Do pick a pen kit that compliments the blank.

C & C most welcome

Sounds as if you know the do's and don't. Nice looking pens but don't forget, just because you've been successful this time, don't get frustrated if they blow up the next time. DAMHIKT I've many times made a blank and never been able to do it again.

Dominic, Segmenting can be as addictive as pen turning in general. Great job and keep challenging yourself. It's well worth it!
