As some of you know I've been working with my local jeweller on wood and ring making. We will be making a promotion for fathers day I would like to know if anyone would be interested also where would I post the detais?

Anyway just finished the sampling for the woods we will be having zebrawood, paduk, wenge, walnut and finally amboyna burl. let me know what you think

All the rings are bentwood which means that less wood is lost... I have to say that bending a burl is quite the challenge :)

Critics and comments are welcome

I'll try and do a video tutorial to show how I do it. I take the wood veneer steam it in the microwave then bind it around a wooden dowel (3 /4"). I tape it, take it off the dowel and let it dry for a day.

After that it's a game of wrapping the veneer gluing it to itself and trying not to glue your fingers to the wood...

Any other questions please go ahead and I'll try to answer as best as I can.

When I say try not to glue your fingers to the ring that's what I mean. There is a part of my fingerprint on that one. :)
