Drew, nice looking setup. I was wondering about doing something like this and had a question...Has the velcro backing on the wood disc caused the pen blank ends to be "rounded" and causing a gap with the pen components? Thanks Rod

Hi Rod,

I had that problem too. Rick's offset device should eliminate the effect.

What is happening is the brass tube is more difficult to sand off material and the center of your velcro is becoming worn, allowing the brass to more easily penetrate farther than the acrylic or wood, thus creating rounded edges.

If you are careful and don't use a lot of pressure, you can overcome this, but the offset should be a perfect solution.
