I just cast my first Banksia Pod blanks, and of course learned something new. This stuff is pretty soft! Anyway, I had a bit of tearout, no big deal, CA cures all and away we go.
I'm just wondering if anyone has stabilized this stuff before. It would seem a natural for it as it would go right through it. I use vacuum and Minwax on all my other stuff. I also wonder if it would affect the casting (PR) but I'm doubting that because the Minwax dries pretty hard and, well, dry!
Anyway, just wonderin', if anyone has any experience with this I'd love to hear about it!
