animefan's Sweet Gum bowl reminded me of this small hollow form I turned several months ago. 3 5/8" x 2 3/4". I'll call it a potpourri dish for lack of a better name. It was really just hollowing practice to make use of scrap cut from a bowl blank.

I'm posting it now to back up Andrew's claim that Sweet Gum trees "have such cool wood".

This piece looks great!

I had a bunch of sweet gum I turned a while back and it was terribly boring stuff. That sap to heart transition helps a lot!
