I just had a pair of Jr Gents come back to me. I had done the silicone trick in the lip of the cap to keep it from unscrewing on its own.
She said she was finding little balls of silicone around the pen. I took the cap off and the silicone had chunked out and was very rough looking. Curious, I looked at my daily driver Barons I had done the same thing too and they looked just as bad.
My prep was acetone cleaning the inside of the lip, nothing else.
Have you guys had better luck over time?
