First time for this style . Thought I would try one to see how it would turn out .

8.5" diameter . Walnut and some mystery wood I got dumpster diving at a local cabinet shop recently .

Guess I will have to stop making them for a while now because I have run out of finishing supplies until I can get to the city where prices are less than half. .

Looks nice. Mystery wood looks very much like cherry.
Thanks but definitely not cherry up here in the Rocky Mountains.
It was local grown and the pieces were cut offs from a local person that took in a whole bunch of it to make a huge custom made bar top but the whole three guys in the cabinet shop could not tell what it was and they are working with wood all the time . .
It was hard to guess even with a discussion with lots of replies on my own site where I showed the bunch of it I got. But now with a finish on that little bit of it I am thinking it is likely Alder because it looks different than before the finish .
