The shape's not my favorite, but I guess there's only so much you can do with segmented. Was drilling it any challenge? I laminate and press thin layers and then cut on the bias, and I don't really notice any difference from solid. But I've not tried segmenting.

Very creative.

That's a Good and solid looking pepper mill... built like the proverbial brick s. house:tongue::tongue:

Haven't done a pepper mill for a while... still have a couple of dozen in stock, so need lay off for a little while...

Nice job; but I think it would have been a little more pleasing to the eye if the dark wood segments were stacked the same way on both the body and the cap.
