Here is my first attempt at a segmented pen blank. I used Rosewood and Maple with soda can as aluminium accent between the layers on a Celtic Elegence pen which is just a Sierra pen with a fancy center band. The only part I could have done better was how you can see the saw cuts between the layers. Critics welcome.

What did you use to bond the soda can to the wood? And did it try to seperate during turning?




Like the curves, and the timbers are quite contrasting.

I used medium CA to hold it all together and it was really easy to turn. I had tried it once before with about twice as thick aluminum and it did come apart on me.
