Thanks to William O Young I'm ankle deep in wood shavings! I was reading his thread the other day on some seam rippers he had just made so I called my wife over who is a quilter and said looky here.....oowww can you make me one? Sure dear.....I'm on round three now after she took it with her over the weekend to show off to her quilting group while they were on a bus trip to a quilting show.... do I really need to say more?
After round one I went out and purchased a collet chuck and an Easy Wood detail tool. The scroll chuck was just TOO close to the hand for my comfort. So here's some pic's of the batch I turned out tonite. I'm using some 1x6 Tulip wood blanks I got from my local Rockler Dealer. These are soooo fun to make Thanks for the help William!

They look very nice. I like how you decorated the handles. I bet that the quilters will keep you busy. I have made two of them tonight and they are interesting to make. I glued mine into the handle so that the plastic cap fits.
