Question about stars and stripes

I am getting ready to start a stars and stripes pen from Kallenshaan woods and in looking at the directions I wonder if I need to put something (paper or wax paper) between the glued stripes and the clamps or will the glue not stick to the plastic on the clamps.

If you use thinned wood glue you shouldn't have any problems with it sticking to the plastic...at least I didn't. [8D]

I've taken the plastic off the ends of most of the mini clamps I use for clamping the stripes and still have no problems with sticking. As Lou stated, thinned yellow glue is the key.

I have never had a problem with sticking. I always wipe of the excess glue with a damp towel.
