I tried the new PSI Perfect Seal stopper base. Here is a version in Brown Mallee burl
and here's what the same stopper looks like in the bottle

These bases use the same size hole/threading as PSI's chrome stoppers and can be turned on their same mandrel. Once in the bottle pretty much all you see is the wood, which is nice.
I like the idea, but I'm not convinced I like these. It takes a lot of twisting to get the stopper to seal and it's not very convenient for my fat fingers because you have to turn the two narrow metal rings (between the stopper and the bottle) independent of each other. The Ginter stopper is easier to seal.
