Polyester resin impregnation in porous woods

Neat. But it seems like you COULD suck resin into your fitting, tube and possibly vacuum pump...?

I have broke my hand vacuum pump that way.
BLO foam got into pump. Separator necessary. Maybe it is just offscreen.

Anyway, it is nice way to use little amount of resin.

I seem to remember someone here trying that a few years ago, but
I can't remember who it was. But you're right.. you'd have to be careful
not to suck the foam up into the pump.
Also, some of the products people use to do home stabilizing are
high in acetone, which can do damage to a pump when it boils off
under vacuum.
