Well, I haven;t been able to be in the lathe for some time now. And it just finally "got to me!" So I went through a lumber yard to get my fix of that wonderful shavings aroma. While there I decided to try to make some simple shelving for my seedling amaryllis.

It isnt' painted - going to be green to match the wire shelvss.

So what do you think of my first unit so far?

Just wondering....

What did you make the 'webbing' out of?
Will it support the weight of the plants you are going to be putting on it okay?

Great looking design, simple....yet effective!

Scott (glad you had some fun too) B

The webbing is heavy gauge wire cloth. Plants are in and all is well. And best of all, the cat doesn't want to go on the shelves! Each shelf has three dowel rods supporting the wire.
