I decided to do something different for the PITH pen I made for Valerie. This combines a number of new challenges

1. Dilling in line with the accent strip
2. Replacing the centerband (PITA) and finial
3. Use of gift cards for accent stripes
4. Custom turquoise PR
5. Making the pen as short as possible for the Kit
6. Actually drew and planned this blank out

Here it is a Jr. Retro closed end in amboyna burl accented with turquoise and white. Notice that everything line up.

I've been working on my photo skills too. This was taken in the small HF photo booth with a black cloth draped background and a piece of glass painted black on the reverse side. (I even used a gray card to get started with the exposures. There is a little lint on the glass though.

What do you think? Valerie likes it.

Mike

I gotta say, you did one hell of job on that pen. Everything is symetric and the colors go great together. How much actual time did you spend on it. However much it was, it was well worth it. Great job.
