I'd like to start casting photos. Unfortunately, I don't have the type of software I have can't seem to get the photos small enough to fit on a tube. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't want to spend a lot of money(under $100 if possible), because I'd only use it when I want to cast a photo. Thanks in advance.

GIMP is good (and free, as John already noted). The learning curve is pretty steep, which I have heard is also the case for Photoshop (the full version).

I found this tutorial to be helpful: https://youtu.be/2EPIUyFJ4ag

If you have a specific task that you want to be able to do, you might be able to find a tutorial for that task, but I have found it faster and less frustrating to learn the basics of the software first.

Try the free ones and if they work well, that's great. If not look into Photoshop Elements. It should be less than $100. I say should because I use the full version of Photoshop and haven't looked at Elements in a long time.
