Nice job, those are lovely. Mind reviewing your process for the stamps?
Thanks,
Jake
I pretty much follow the PSI video on YouTube, ( Search: Stamp Pen) and also there is a good tutorial here on the IAP in the library,to do them decoupage-style.I needed to do it that way on these because the stamps are jumbo sized, and they would overlap on a bare Zen tube.I think I turned the blank down to .460'',from the .512 finished size.( that fit the duck stamp just perfectly,I really lucked out)
Then built the med ca up to about .525'',then I use a sharp skew like a scraper (wrong.,I know..) to make it straight, down to .514",them MM to size, then buffed out.
On the other ones I've done,I send the decorated & sealed barrels to Don Vann for clear casting, then finish as normal.I like all the edges to mate up,so having a straight tube is needed for that.On the pens that will have curved shaped barrels, sending them to Don is the way to go.He does a great job.
Thanks,
Steve
