Thought I'd toss this up here. Since it's the other things we make thread. Not related to turning but wood none the less :)

carved Carousel horse about 2.5' tall. Still rough and needs alot of finishing work and the legs to be permanently attached

That is a real good job on carving, I can only carve on the lathe while it is in motion but I can not do things like this, it would be nice to see a bowl with a carving like the bridal on the horse all around the bowl, keep up the good work. Aloha.

Nice Job... gonna paint her? oils or acrylics? some of us carvers need the details! (do you post on WCI or Carving Mag?

If you're gonna paint'er, I sure would like to see the finished product...

Will likely be stained in various tones rather then painted
Yes more then one piece of wood
No I hadn't posted on any other wood working site aside from wood turning
It's approximately 2.5' tall x 2.5' long

No not yet. Carving has taken a bit of a back seat for the time being. I'll be sure to post some updated pics though when I do get it done
