Bill at AS has a set for $99.95 which is 1/16" through 1/2" by 64ths.

This is good but you still need metrics and letter bits for some kits. I would buy as you need them. Yes it is more expensive but it does stretch it out over time.

I just did a quick search, and you can find them a little cheaper, but there are several types and grades of Norseman. If you get the wrong one you might as well buy Black and Decker. You want to look for three things :
1.Magnum Super Premium
2.Hi-Molybdenum (AS doesn't say it on their web site but they are)
3.135 degree split point tip

I'm not totally convinced that expensive bits are really needed. I've used norseman bits and several other brands and the set I purchased at Tractor Supply for $19.99 (after Christmas sale) two years ago are still cutting fine. The set is much the same as the HF set...letter sizes, wire sizes and fraction sizes...135 bits in the set. They have been used for all woods, antler, plastics and corian. Maybe I don't make enough pens to dull them.[;)][:D] Someone set me straight. Do I need to be using "designer" bits?

Only thing I found is the cheapest of the bits may not run true. Especially the brad point type. Had some where the point was off centered.

looks like Bill lowered his prices from when I got mine from him. I like the bits and feel it was money well spent. The linked site has them for even less. [B)]
