Oh, how funny, I had a rare Saturday off, felt like Sunday....
Cant blame this one on my wife, lol!

The wood is gold desert iron wood, same blank, different ends.

Thought it might be that. I have a couple of two-tone pieces, but I have yet to make anything with it. Still pondering the aesthetics.

Nice DIR pens, I don't like the way it smells but it does polish nicely.

Some day I will make a Sierra, so far I am trying to simplify my pen kit list. As it is there are 6 sets of drill bits, bushings and pen mills cluttering up the shop. I tried the Atlas-Polaris and it didn't work for me.
