These pens were by William Robertson as I taught him how to turn pens... This was his first time in pen turning and is using these as Christmas gifts... It was a joint effort with Will doing most of the work as I gave him direction...
1. BEAUTIFUL piece from an Apple tree from my neighbor's yard... Yes he knows... I wish you could see it better...
2. Cherry cut on the diagonal.. It was a UGLY chunk of wood but is making great pens...
3. Dogwood... Not impressive with the grain but was wanted because it is a favorite tree...
4. Ebony... You cannot see the swirls but it is really pretty...
5. Pen and Pencil set... Made from a green swirl acrylic top with a deep red bloodwood bottom.. Really turned out nice...
It is fun to teach others to do this!!! I feel as if it is my work but with more feeeling since I love helping others learn...
Thanks!!
