hello,
I have a problem at the time of the sandpapering of pen made up of whitewood and color. I do not manage to keep the white color.[}:)] It is polluted by the dust of the sandpapering of the other wood which encrusts dals its pores. :(
Have a solution which makes it possible to preserve the white?

Thanks.

Use an extremely sharp skew for the final pass. Seal the wood with a coat of thin ca and then start sanding at 600-800 grit.

What he said, you can also use sanding sealer in place of the CA

Learn to shear scrape to a fine finish. I find that sanding-sealer/shellac/ca glue followed by careful shear scraping provides an excellent base for again sealing and then sanding. My olde eyes need the mageyes in place to get the detail on the shear scraping process.

Shear scrape is also useful to level out finishes such as thick CA -- better results than abrasives once I started to get the skill.
