While going through a box in the back of my shop, I came across a blank that I can't identify and I'm hoping that the collective knowledge of this group can help me out.

I went ahead and turned the handle for the razor in the attached picture and it turned out great. The other picture is the remainder of the original blank.

It drilled, turned and smelled like Ebonite (I know, if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck .......), but it's not like any Ebonite I've seen before.

I would really appreciate any help you can give in helping identify this material.

Thanks, Bob

And it is a hard material. When drilling all it would do is come out and reharden around my new sharp bit. And turning it well it was fun.
