I almost posted these on Tom's thread, but decided that would be rude.. his flame box elder is stunning..
I made these last fall.. at several of my shows where I was showing duck calls, had several people ask for turkey calls... they are fun and easy to make..

This is wormy maple, Slate over glass.. 4" x 1"

This one is Buckeye, 4" x 1 1/2".. a little thick, but sounds good.

This is my Flame Box Elder.. not as much flame as Tom's..

Nice looking pots Chuck. You are right, they are fun and easy to make, the biggest problem I had was with the striker, it took four tries to get two good ones.[:I]

We had home made turkey pot pie last night and thats what I thought of when I saw the subject line.

I kinda cheat on the strikers... I buy the 5/16" dowel in popular or what ever hardwood the BORG has...(I like the popular best) I just turn the handles... I tend to make them a little too big I think... I notice when guys are searching for one to buy, they look for the smaller handles.
