Today Charlie_W and his friend Ken drive up from VA to meet me in Gettysburg to buy my lathe stand for their turning club.

Charlie opened his van and said that they were throwing me a little lathe warming party for my new lathe purchase and proceeded to unload some wood. :)

Best of all he brought me the very insert I need to make my chuck operational on the new 1642. That was the best.

We had a nice lunch and it's always great to meet some more turners in person.

Dan,
Ken and I enjoyed our little road trip today! It is always good to get together with fellow turners and talk shop over lunch....after all,....ya gotta eat!

And a big thanks to you for the boxes of pen blanks and things for our club to share with new pen turners! That was very generous!
Also, thanks for meeting us and saving us some miles.

Glad we could make your day special!
Now, GO Turn something on that big lathe!

I like the crunchy ones, but for an invite I could be persuaded to cross over for an afternoon.

Curt

Hmmmm, is crossing over allowed on this forum?
